Semper Fortis is a late-ish raiding guild on Onyxia (PvP Server, Horde Side) that aims to see (and beat) all endgame raid content, all while still enjoying ourselves.
We take raiding pretty seriously, and we enjoy pitting ourselves against the challenges that Blizzard has put before us.
To that aim, we believe in short but effective raid times. Only three progression raid nights, and occasionally a fourth optional night don't leave us a lot of time, so we try to utilize what we have effectively. Raid invites go out at 8:30, raid starts by 8:45 (when possible) and we run till 12:30 (all server time).
For loot we believe and utilize loot council. Thus far it has been a fast and effective way for us to distribute loot and get it to the right people who will make the best use of it. That having been said the officers must follow a strict set of guidelines when determining loot council.
We believe in an open door policy. Members have the right to discuss any decision made with any officer or combination of officers. We believe that through collaboration and teamwork we will overcome any difficulty.
This guild was founded when five real life friends decided that no guild they had seen or joined met the balance of effective and fun that they needed, and this led to the creation of Semper Fortis. Due to the council nature of the officers, there is no 'guild leader' and all officers are given equal weight. This ensures that any decision made by the officers is one that has been bantered, considered, and tempered by the other officers.
Semper was founded in April of 2008, and despite the occasional setback has continued to grow and improve into the incredible guild it is today, and with no end to our current trend in sight, this guild will continue to evolve into something far stronger tomorrow.
